Binh San Mountain is located in the inner city area of Ha Tien City, once featured in poetry in the work Ha Tien Thap Vinh by Mac Thien Tich with the Chinese name Binh San Diep Thuy, meaning green mountain. The mountain is about 50 m high, also known as Lang Mountain, because on the mountain there is the tomb of Mac Cuu and his relatives and generals of the Mac family, who were instrumental in opening the land of Ha Tien today.

On Binh San mountain there is a forest of white apricot blossoms, also known as apricot blossoms. The forest was bred from the first white apricot tree brought by Mac Cuu from Guangxi to plant in 1720. Every Lunar New Year, white apricot flowers bloom with four petals, growing in clusters with pure white color, yellow pistils, pleasant fragrance, pure beauty, spreading fragrance throughout a mountainous area.

On the top of the mountain there are still two relics of the Son Xuyen and Xa Tac foundations with a large red bagua shape, black in the middle, golden center, on top of which is a large bronze incense burner, where in the past, rituals of worshiping the heavens, mountain gods, river gods and soldiers who died for the country took place. Son Xuyen foundation is located on the highest mountain peak, overlooking Fort Dai mountain, and is the place where sacrifices are made to the mountain god and river god. Xa Tac foundation is located halfway up the mountain, a place to worship the land queen and the agricultural god.

The top of Binh San mountain is considered the most prime location of Ha Tien land. In the past, the Mac family’s ancestors often came to worship heaven and earth, praying for good weather and wind. From the top of the mountain there is also a path leading down to other tourist attractions in the area such as Phu Dung Pagoda, then visitors can move to Phat Da Pagoda, also known as Lo Gach Pagoda to visit.

At Binh San Mountain, there is the Mac Cuu mausoleum relic area. The Mac family temple grounds are always quiet and contemplative. In the relic, there are also many ordinations recognizing the merits of the family. After visiting the temple, visitors follow the road to the right into the mausoleum located on Binh San mountain. The road has gentle steps paved with green stones. On both sides of the road are carefully cared for green forests, creating an airy, green space all year round. Along the road, there are also stone benches for visitors to rest.

After more than 300 years, the temple and mausoleum of the Mac family at Binh San Mountain are still intact. In front of the temple, there are also two large lotus ponds. According to the story, the two ponds were dug to store fresh water for Ha Tien people to use. In addition to the Binh San mountain area and Mac Cuu mausoleum, Ha Tien also attracts tourists by other destinations such as Thach Dong, Mui Nai beach, Da Dung mountain, Tam Bao pagoda…
