**Chùa Hang (Cave Temple)**

Also known as Chùa Hà Sơn, Chùa Hang is a unique and renowned temple in Hà Tiên. Situated in An Bình commune, Kiên Lương district, Kiên Giang province, the temple can be reached by motorbike from Hà Tiên. After heading towards Ba Hòn, turn left and travel for about 18 km. You’ll find the temple nestled at the foot of Hải Sơn Mountain.

The Chùa Hang complex was discovered in the early 18th century by Thai monks and fishermen who came to the area to reclaim land and establish a community. The temple boasts a distinctive architectural style, and within its walls, you’ll find numerous statues of the thousand-eyed and thousand-armed Buddha. Upon entering the temple courtyard, you might notice the 22-ton Di Lac Buddha statue. According to locals, the statue is crafted from Đà Nẵng non-mountainous stone.

The temple is situated deep within the cave, adorned with mesmerizing stalactites and stalagmites, sculpted by the erosive forces of water. Gently tap on these formations, and you’ll be greeted by the resonating sound of a bell echoing through the cave.

Uniquely, Chùa Hang features a cave that offers a view of Hòn Phụ Tử. The tranquil and mystical atmosphere of the cave, shaped by nature, blends harmoniously with the compassionate and serene aura emanating from the Buddha statues and the temple, creating a distinct and sacred space within the Buddhist realm. This serene ambiance draws visitors to Chùa Hang, inviting them to pay homage and explore its wonders.
