A Timeless Card Game of Elegance and Chance
Baccarat, a game of pure chance and high-stakes excitement, has captivated players for centuries. With its simple rules and potential for big wins, it’s no wonder this elegant card game remains a favorite in casinos worldwide.

The Basics of Baccarat
In Baccarat, players bet on the outcome of two hands: the “Player” hand and the “Banker” hand. The objective is to predict which hand will have a point total closest to nine.
Here’s how it works:
- The Deal: Two cards are dealt face-up to both the Player and the Banker.
- Card Values:
- Face cards and 10s count as zero.
- Aces count as one.
- Number cards retain their face value.
- Calculating the Hand Total: Only the units digit of the total is considered. For example, if the cards total 14, the hand value is four.
- Third Card Rule: Depending on the initial two-card values, a third card may be drawn for the Player and/or the Banker according to a set of specific rules.
- Determining the Winner: The hand with a point total closest to nine wins.
